J Michael Mugas (@dumbbeingdumb) finished a bachelor’s degree in marketing communications in 2014. Currently, he is a struggling third-year law student while working for the information management section of the government’s health department and sidelining as a news stringer for Philippine News Agency. He also worked as communication and media relations strategist for the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte.

Some of his works have appeared in various publications like the Philippine Daily Inquirer, BusinessMirror, Philippines Graphic, BusinessWorld, and The Ilocos Times, where he mostly written about Ilocos Norte’s tourism, economic, and health sectors. His essay “Beer Sessions” was also included in Saluyouth, a book collection of essays written by some 30 young Ilocano writers.
